Is kethu a Malefic planet? Results Of and Remedies for Kethu

Many are scared of the on set of main periods of Nodes viz Kethu and Rahu . While the apprehensions on Rahu is not entirely unfounded the results of Kethu is not the same. There is enough literature on the subject of effect of Nodes and Karmic control of these planets and Blaha ..Blaha . My intention here is to share some thoughts on the results of Kethu dasa and the behaviour of this shadow planet .I am not referring to any classical text or quotes of the great names in Astrology since i firmly believe that the science of Astrology is puerly divine and above the comprehension of any single individual. While there canot be any harm in reading the experience and experimenting the results pronounced and carry on the research ,the modern practice of quoting an authority and concluding that the results therefore would be like this is not desirable and one need to devise ones own system of prediction that need to be unique and dynamic. Coming back to the subject of Kethu my experience has been really encouraging. Many an astrologer would scare you about a kethu main period but few are willing to analyse the individual position. Being the jnana karaka Kethu always gives opportunity to refine oneself and make progress. Of course the basic rule of granting the results of the planet with which it is associated is found to be true in my readings , I would go one step ahead in telling that Kethu may grant more than the planet with which it is associated provided the placement and the ownership of the former is positive.
